Dr. Cornpone

Howdy, I'm Bill Myers, Redneck Holler's unofficial doctor and local scientist.  Now, you might wonder how I got to be one of the Holler's leading citizens.  Well, one day, I was walkin hither and there in Tennessee, and I overheard a lady tourist say, "I came to Tennessee to see a hillybilly!"  Well, that got me to thinkin.  I says to myself, "Well, here's this lady looking fer a hillybilly, and I'm standing right in front of her."  Ya see, she didn't recognize this old hillybilly 'cause I  was disguised in my "Sunday, go-to-meetin clothes."  Well, I went on home to my cabin and got out my favorite overhauls (the one's my wife says she won't go anywhere with me if I wears them pants).  I put on my favorite fishin' hat, did a little accessorizing, and there I was, Dr. Cornpone.  Now, I says to myself, "Ya know, the way I sees these tourists spending money, I bet they'd pay to see a hillybilly, and dang if they didn't"  I started entertaining all over the south.  I sing songs to ya, write poems fer ya, and tell you all about my humble, hillybilly life.  So, if'n ya'll want some good entertainment at your next concert, variety show, or special event, give me a call.  You can reach me at 904-642-1025.  Just ask for Bill or Dr. Cornpone.  If you can't reach me there, you can call Over-the-Edge Productions, Inc. and tell them you want to have Dr. Cornpone at your next event.

Bill Myers as Dr. Cornpone has performed throughout the south at theaters, fairs, and special events.  During his career, Mr. Myers spent a year as the main comedy act at the famous Smoky Mountain Music Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Included in Dr. Cornpone’s star-studded portfolio is his work as the opening act for such music greats as Dolly Parton, Holly Dunn, Del Reeves, Stonewall Jackson, and Charley Louvin.  In addition to Cornpone’s outrageous comedy, Bill’s versatile performance on a variety of instruments astounds us all.  Locally, Bill has served as one of the stars of the Florida Theater’s River City Opry where he received 3 standing ovations with an act that continually electrified his audiences with laughter.
